She means the Freeman's Journal and National Press, a daily  morning Dublin newspaper.  Gifford notes that although it was "editorially pro-Home Rule for Ireland," it was "so moderate-conservative in its point of view that it was nicknamed 'the old woman of Prince's Street' (where its editorial offices were located.)
